Yalin Dilek moves from Galatasaray to Vienna
First Vienna FC 1894 has signed Turkish youth international Yalin Dilek. The 18-year-old forward is joining Austria's oldest football club on loan from Galatasaray Istanbul until 2026.
Just one day before departing for their training camp in Belek, Vienna presents another promising new addition. Yalin Dilek moves from Galatasaray to Vienna-Döbling. The 18-year-old Turkish youth international will be on loan from the Istanbul club to Austria's oldest football team until 2026.
Recently, Dilek was a regular player in the U19 team of the top Turkish club and had already been included in the professional squad for the Europa League match against Dynamo Kyiv. The striker was trained in Galatasaray's renowned youth academy. He has been a consistent performer for Turkey's youth national teams, playing 34 matches and scoring an impressive 16 goals from the U16 to U19 levels.
Vienna's sporting director Andreas Ivanschitz commented on the signing: “With Yalin Dilek, we have managed to bring in a highly talented player. We are confident that he will strengthen our team and take the next step in his development with us. We warmly welcome him to the Vienna family and look forward to supporting him on his journey.”
Dilek himself is also optimistic about his new role: “The past few days have moved very quickly, but I’m happy to be here. My first impression of the club and the facilities is excellent.
